Clear, well-lit photographs with good contrast tend to make the most beautiful cyanotypes. Both color and black-and-white photographs can work. Images with a strong subject and a relatively uncluttered background are especially lovely.

No! You can upload a digital photograph, or mail me the original. If you have an old printed photograph, I can professionally scan it for your artwork and carefully return the original to you with your finished cyanotype.

That's okay! Send it my way. I'll review your photograph and determine whether it can be prepared successfully as a cyanotype. If some editing or additional preparation is needed, I'll take care of that as part of the process.

Absolutely. The first cyanotype includes the custom preparation of your photograph and creation of the file and negative. Additional pieces made from that same photograph are available at a special multiple-piece price. Contact me for special requests and I’ll create a specific listing for you.

Yes! Add a date, names, location, or a few meaningful words beneath your image. I'll handwrite your inscription directly onto the artwork. This is optionally included at no additional charge.

Please allow 2–3 weeks for your artwork to be completed. Holiday commissions should be ordered by December 1, 2026, or earlier if all 10 holiday commission spots are reserved.
